We have been getting questions from candidates if they are to print their exam slip at the same JAMB CBT centre where they registered for JAMB or if they can print it at any Cyber Cafe. This post is to clarify the issue.

Before I proceed, Candidates are to note that the reprinting of JAMB exams slips said to commence on Saturday, March 7th, 2020 had started yesterday.

JAMB exam which is set to commence Saturday, March 14 and end on April 4. Publish above is the steps to print your exam slip as JAMB portal is enabled.

Now to answer the question concerning where to print your exam slip, the answer is you can print it anywhere. So far there is a printer and a way to connect your computer or device to a printer.

All you need is to do is access your exam slip online via JAMB Portal ( guidelines published above soon) and send it to the printer and print it out.

As a matter of fact, if you have a computer and a printer at home, you can actually print it from the comfort of your home without stepping out.

So don’t stress your self going to a JAMB CBT centre where you registered for JAMB to print your exam slip.. That is not necessary.

Candidates are advised to print their slips on time before the commencement of the JAMB Exam, in order to familiarize themselves with the examination schedules as no form of excuse for missing the examination will be entertained.

Also, note that it is advisable, you print at least 2 copies of the UTME Examination Slip in Full Colour (black and white may fade easily or may not be clear enough). You will submit one at the Exam Hall and you have to keep one for reference purposes.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released cut-off points for this year’s admission into universities,polytechnics,colleges of education and monotechnics..

JAMB CUT-OFF MARKS.

The minimum cut off marks suggested by JAMB for admissions into public universities, private universities, public polytechnic, private polytechnics and colleges of education are 160, 140, 120, 110and 100 respectively.

Public Universities — 160

IMPORTANT DATES TO NOTE

1) DATE FOR UTME SLIP PRINTING:
11th March to 13th March 2020

Unfortunately, JAMB has stopped the correction of the wrong subject combination. This means that the wrong subject combination cannot be corrected after registration. This is why candidates should ensure they pick the right one for their course during registration.

The only solution to the wrong subject combination is to change your course to the one that matches the subject combination that you already selected.

Education Minister, Adamu Adamu has said that the Federal Ministry of Education is not recruiting personnel into the Ministry.

The Minister stated this today in Abuja while briefing some education correspondents in his office.

Reacting to media reports that the Ministry was employing graduate teachers into its schools, the Minister said, by law, the Ministry cannot and does not employ any officer above grade level six (GL.06), adding that it is the exclusive preserve of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) to do so.

For the avoidance of doubt “the last time the Federal Civil Service Commission recruited teachers for the Nations Unity Schools was in 2018” the Minister said.

Explaining the rationale for the briefing, Adamu Adamu said some fraudsters have opened websites advertising for recruitment into the Ministry, adding that it is a complete scam, and that members of the public should avoid being victims.

Whenever recruitment is to be done into the Ministry, the Federal Civil Service Commission will advertise through its mechanism, following all due processes before posting successful officers to the Ministry, Adamu Adamu reiterated.

  *Things You Should Know About The JAMB Mock Exam*

The JAMB Mock Exam is not compulsory The reason for the JAMB mock examination is only to give you an idea on what the JAMB CBT feels like. The mock exam is not a requirement to write the main exam. So that you did not participate in the mock exam does not mean you are not qualified to write the main exam. The result of the mock exam will NOT be added to the result of the main examination. If you earlier indicated interest to write the mock exam and later changed your mind, there is no problem at all. JAMB will not penalize you for that. You will still write the main JAMB exam like every other registered candidate. The questions that will appear during the Mock exam are not necessarily the questions that will appear during the main exam. The mock Exam is expected to start 7:00am at the various centers. Though there will be different sessions. There will be no MAKE UP test if you miss the mock exam. For the mock examination, candidates’ venue will be within the state they registered for their 2020 UTME. You are expected to come to the mock exam centre with a copy of your JAMB mock examination slip or printout Bags, mobile phones, calculators and other electronic devices are not allowed in the examination centre. Ensure you take breakfast, and arrive your centre early. Also hold some extra cash in case of the unexpected.

JAMB has since enabled the portal for 2020 candidates to print their mock slips so as to know their exam venue and time. However, some candidates have reported that they are unable to print their mock slips due to some errors.

Most of them reported that the response they got was “No Record Found”. Others said that a blank place was shown to them.

We may not be able to say exactly what may be the cause for these errors, but we believe it may likely be one of the reasons below;

Reasons You May Be Unable To Print Your Mock Slip

If you are sure that you indicated interest to take the mock exam and still unable to print your venue and time, it is possible that the Accredited centre where you registered your UTME did not actually indicate that you want to take the mock.
It could also mean that all the details of candidates who indicated interest to take the mock have not been fully uploaded on the JAMB website. Such candidates are advised to keep checking till February 17th, 2020.
It could also be a temporary technical issue with the checking portal. So all you may need to do in this case is to check back at a later time.

Be that as it may, even if you end up not being able to print your slip which means you will not be able to take the mock exam, the good news is that nothing will happen to you if you don’t sit for Jamb mock.

Jamb mock is not compulsory. You will not fail Jamb main exam if you don’t write mock. What really matters is the main exam. So take the time and prepare for it.
